This presentation shows how people data and analytics can integrate with the wider organisational strategy, and macro trends that leaders should plan for. There is a very clear connection to cost in Telia’s strategy – how, through digital transformation, we can be simpler, faster, data-driven, and with lower cost.


The War for Talent has become more challenging: the Great Resignation was followed by contiguous turnover and quiet quitting. We are desperately chasing cost efficiencies to deliver with speed, quality and impact.


In a changing world, where lay-offs and cost pressure are seemingly inevitable, it is important to understand workforce cost. Not only the obvious costs of hiring and compensation, but also costs related to the post-pandemic world, geopolitical instability, freedom backlash, climate change, and energy crisis. 


Workforce planning is crucial to build for the future. But how do you build sustainably to enable future capability to optimize costs? People making decision based on cost drivers directly impacting the income statement, but how can we by understanding people data and "hidden" workforce cost drivers enable better decision making and add business value in an disruptive era

70% of our operational expenses comes from workforce costs. I believe it is important to get new perspective on cost of workforce to enable better decision making for a sustainable planning in an disruptive era. We needed to investigate strategies to optimise costs related to talent that pays for output and value.
