As CPO & Business Partner to the President, Sarnjit’s key accountabilities include implementing and delivering a people-centric strategy that enables the execution of the strategic business plan across Cox Automotive International markets, covering approximately 3,000 team members.
As part of her international remit, Sarnjit is also responsible for sharing best-practice people strategies across all international markets, ensuring the company continues to attract, recruit, and retain top talent in the communities in which it operates. With a tenure of seven years at Cox Automotive, Sarnjit began her career as Head of HR for Manheim, then transitioned into an HR Director role for Europe, before moving into her current role as CPO, reporting globally to the Executive team in the US.
Sarnjit has a passion for people development and coaching. She partners with several external organisations and professional bodies in a mentoring capacity, including the CIPD (Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development) and the Global BT mentoring programmes. She also supports various external companies. Her commitment to developing the next generation of HR talent has been recognised through accolades such as the Inspiring Women – Automotive 30% Club Award and the Northern Power Women’s Awards UK.
Before joining Cox Automotive, Sarnjit gained over 20 years of experience in financial services (Santander), where she held multiple operational roles across retail and the branch network, alongside HR leadership roles across all five key divisions of Santander UK, including Global Business Markets and the CEO Office.
Residing in Lincolnshire, Sarnjit enjoys running, travelling, reading, and spending time with her two teenage sons, Aran and Kam, and her family.
