Deconstructing Workforce Planning for Tangible Results

Tuesday, June 11, 2024, 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM
Plenary

In this session you will learn how technology can take workforce planning out of the “too difficult bucket” and makes this function more accessible and inclusive. Discover how to build and iterate on your planning baseline, look at the work to be done to assess the skills you have and the skills you need in both short term and over time.

As bottlenecks in the labor market are being accelerated and compounded by AI introducing new ways of working, organizations are investing even more heavily into workforce planning. At the same time, many HR leaders see workforce planning as a slow, laborious, and complicated activity requiring strong data analytics, finance, and executive negotiation skills.

This session will explore
  • How to model scenarios for multiple projects like embracing AI or the workforce implications of opening a new site or factory unit.
  • Understand the gaps between supply and demand, and model gap filling strategies with interactive reports showing targets, cost breakdowns, and location strategy.
