Tamara Lee is a seasoned leader with over 15 years of experience in workforce planning, policy development, and strategic leadership across the public sector. She is currently serving as the Director of Future Workforce at NSW Health, where she drives strategic workforce initiatives to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare sector. In this role, Tamara focuses on workforce talent strategies, stakeholder engagement, and governance, ensuring the capacity and capability of NSW Health’s workforce for the future.

Prior to this, Tamara was Director of Workforce Policy and Development at NSW Health for seven years, where she played a pivotal role in workforce reforms, including leading mandatory training for 120,000 employees and numerous tertiary students. Her expertise in research, policy development, and analytics has been critical in shaping workforce strategies and developing new roles in response to emerging healthcare needs.

Tamara also has experience with SafeWork NSW, where she contributed to regulatory reform and strategic policy development, as well as at the Central Coast Local Health District, where she managed services in the areas of violence, abuse, and neglect. Her career also includes leadership roles in regulatory reform at WorkCover NSW and policy advisory positions in health and safety.

Throughout her career, Tamara has earned a reputation for her ability to drive change through strategic insights, stakeholder collaboration, and innovative workforce solutions.
