Mr. Shaffer is Chief of NASA’s Workforce Planning within the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer. In this position, Mr. Shaffer is responsible for planning, designing and implementing Workforce Planning (WFP) capability for the agency.
Prior to joining NASA in 2016, Mr. Shaffer worked as an Operations Research Analyst for the Department of the Army for over 9 years, developing and directing research in workforce analytics and forecasting models.
Prior to joining the government, Mr. Shaffer worked as an analyst, software engineer and software project manager for General Research Corporation and AT&T.
Mr. Shaffer holds a Master’s Degree in Applied Mathematics from the University of Virginia.
