Leading one of the few Strategic Workforce Planning functions that are embedded within a public hospital service, Andrew will share his experiences in building and embedding his team within the hospital. From his initial impressions, through building reputation, understanding, credibility and brand through to getting a seat at the table. Andrew will also share the lessons learnt and challenges faced along the way as his team have grown and become embedded.

Healthcare is facing a workforce crisis, there is no denying that. However, the problem predates COVID. Having an embedded SWP function within the system enables a deep understanding of the system, and a greater opportunity to not only see the opportunities, but also to ensure that implementation through to operationalisation goes smoothly.
