To develop insights with speed, we depend on a breadth of accessible, high-quality and connectable data. Thinking strategically about this part of people analytics can save us time, effort, cost and most of all the opportunity to bring insight at the time of greatest relevance.

In this session, we discuss an approach to a data strategy that challenges some of the traditional orthodoxy. We consider the economics of data for insights, and how that influences our prioritisation and decision-making.

This session will explore:

  • Why is the traditional approach to a data strategy so fragile?
  • How does the economics of data strongly influence our approach to a data strategy?
  • How is planning for insights and data science like managing a restaurant kitchen?
  • Why should we not be overly concerned with specific use-cases?
