Macro trends shake up societies, industries and companies. Wärtsilä launched its new vision and strategic priorities - The Wärtsilä Way - in 2021, which also meant a lot for our leaders. Advanced analytics have been applied on survey data to unlock hidden insights about strategic leadership and the importance of it adopting The Wärtsilä Way.

 

  • We needed to understand the effectiveness of our strategic leadership
  • As a mature People Analytics function, we had rich survey data to harness
  • Our work showed what advanced analytics can bring in terms of additional, hidden and impactful insights
  • The project demonstrated why it is important to talk about data-informed decision-making, not data-driven decision-making.


This session will explore:

  • Macro trends impacting societies, industries, and companies - What is Wärtsilä's response?
  • The importance of Strategic Leadership in adopting The Wärtsilä Way
  • Data-informed decision-making does the trick.


Learning outcomes:

  • Stretching the imagination and the impact of People Analytics possibilities
  • Thinking critically about the potentials and limitations of data, connected to strategic decision-making.
